Flow Pavilion EXPO 2020 | DP World
DP World’s Flow Pavilion was one of the highlights of EXPO 2020 in Dubai. A huge 5-floor multi-faceted experience with a giant waterfall installation at its heart. The concept of ‘Flow’ – a derivative of DP World’s brand message of ‘making trade flow’ was the thread that ran through the whole experience.
Working alongside the very talented team at OpenLab our challenge was to take DP World’s messaging, history and visions of the future and through various layers of storytelling, and sensory experiences create content that was digestible, informative and visually inspiring.
Creative Director
I directed multiple pieces of content delivered in a variety of formats and using a vast array of technologies – 2D and 3D animations, films, UI and UX designs, data-driven content, in-app AR experiences, graphics for interactive software, gallery and model lighting, live show visuals and event films. The team also utilised Dubai’s gigantic advertising spaces to create two large digital OOH campaigns - we came close to transforming the Burj Khalifa into a rocket, maybe next time!
The physical and digital spaces and interactive surfaces remained connected throughout the entire experience. Each floor's gallery space contained bespoke screens designed to work in harmony with the space and amplify each connected story, taking visitors on a journey through the past, present and future of trade.
